de-stress.. fun-time!!

take one: fun time at the arcade!!

it has been quite awhile since we last had our usual fun at marina bay.. we met at noon to have our favourite marina south curry for "brunch".. breakfast cum lunch.. then we headed to the arcade for a real time of fun!!

it was a cool saturday afternoon, the arcade only patron was just the two of us!! as usual, dear dear played his drum mania.. then, my favourite, bash bash bashi... i think i played four to five times.. then, we played the shooting game, however, my aiming skills are so lousy that i gave the game up.. better be an onlooker.. hee.. we were at the arcade for about an hour..

after our gaming session, we headed to jurong east library to see if there are any good books to borrow.. hee.. i borrowed a book all on chocolates!! hopefully, i have time to make some cookies before school starts.. haven't really go to library after my exams.. there were many secondary school students doing their assignments in the library.. there was two particular ones who sat beside me while i was browsing which to borrow.. they were trying to complete their maths homework and part of their convo went like this: i didnt eavesdrop but we were sitting on the same table and they were just opposite my seat..

A: shall we go walk walk after this?
B: you mean after this flips to the end of the worksheet stapled together or right after this question?
A: anything lor.. best if after this question.. all right, let's get started right now!!
B: ok..
A: eh, why you wear so nice today.. thought we were supposed to dress down??
B: ok mah.. i wore slippers leh!!

by the way, both of them were wearing quite nice and casual.. the other one was wearing long slacks thats why her friend said she wore better.. haha.. we used to be like that too.. we can talk on the phone for the longest time to decide our clothings..

it really reminded me of the times when i was still in secondary school.. like them, we used to hang out in the library.. we used to go to the cookery section and take all the recipe books to look at the pictures to comment!! we used to be so close.. but now, one, the one that has been my classmate for five years.. always encouraging me to buck up on my chinese, the one that went through thick and thin with me in red cross, the one that is by my side when i was the i/c for the sec one and always without fail pronunced the name for agnes wrongly to acne! haha.. she helps to manage them because there were only six seniors when we were handling the committee.. the chairman and vice-chairman had to handle the red cross affairs and the sec three.. while another had to handle sec two and i have 42 of them in sec one!! had to ensure they had their uniforms, boots, buttons, etc etc.. the one that participated ndp with me, the one that spends my school holidays with me, the one that brought homemade bak-chang for me when my grandma didnt make that year.. the one that diy my hair colour for me.. the one that stay so near to me so we can go jp together every now and then.. the one that gone though renovations-moving house and has to cope with o levels is getting married.. soon, or now, her priorities have changed... :( but am still glad and honored to be her jie-mei.. and she is moving out of our neighbourhood..

after the library visit, we went to imm giant to grab some groceries before heading home to cook an economical dinner in an effort to save $$.. or rather, no more $$, so had to head home to cook.. haha..

take four: after 2 hours in the kitchen, managed to whip up a pizza and carbonara pasta with bacon!
we had chocolate fondue with marshmallow, banana and strawberry ice-cream for dessert!! i am so tired.. after dinner, it was already 10pm!! we managed to watch you tube on some taiwanese variety shows and had a good chat before dear dear head home.. the chat was important not that we talk on important things but the past week, dear had been busy with work so by the time when we talk at night, he is already very sleepy so we didnt manage to catch up much.. must enjoy the present before school starts again.. (:
